For my son’s Batman party, I was determined to have food named after the villains. This Riddler’s Canes snack was inspired by the question mark cane used by the Batman villain, The Riddler. They were simple enough to make, they looked cool, and the kiddos ate every single one of them. Besides, how could you go wrong with chocolate-covered Oreos?

Materials
- 1 package Oreo Doublestuf Cookies (approx. 30 cookies)
- 4 packages Wilton Candy Melts, 2 green, 1 purple, 1 white
- 1 package 6-inch Wilton Lollipop Sticks (35 count)
- 3 microwavable dishes to melt chocolate
- 1 narrow-tipped paintbrush
- Wax or parchment paper
Instructions
Step 1: Twist apart the number of Oreo cookies you want to serve, trying to keep the white stuff on one side of each pair.
Step 2: Press a lollipop stick into the white stuff on each cookie, about halfway up, to mark where the stick will be placed.
Step 3: Melt the white chocolate in the microwave according to package directions. It’s best to do it in short time increments to prevent scorching the chocolate.
Step 4: One at a time, dip a lollipop stick into the white chocolate, swirling it around until you get a little blob on the end (see photo).
Step 5: Place each stick flat into the space you made in the white stuff, twist to secure, then quickly top with the plain cookie half, trying to keep the cookie halves aligned. Press them lightly until they are evenly matched again. Let them dry and solidify for 10 minutes.
Step 6: Press them lightly until they are evenly matched again. Let them dry and solidify for 10 minutes.
Step 7: Melt the green chocolate in the microwave according to package directions. For this color, I recommend using a dish deep enough to submerge the cookies completely.
Step 8: Holding the lollipop stick, dip each cookie until the entire Oreo is covered in green chocolate. Lightly scrape the edge to prevent dripping.
Step 9: Set them on a sheet of wax or parchment paper and let them dry and solidify for at least 10 minutes. You may need to reheat the chocolate as you go, depending on how fast you are. Sorry, no pics of this step.
Step 10: Melt the purple chocolate. Use the narrow-tipped paintbrush to “paint” question marks on each cookie with the purple chocolate. If the chocolate starts to solidify while painting, you’ll need to re-melt it again. Remember to use short heating times. Let them dry and solidify for 10 minutes.
