Raise your hand if you always seem to find yourself in need of a last-minute Christmas gift for someone! I know it happens to me at least once every year. Sure, we can go out and grab some gift cards or one of those prefabbed gift packs of bath stuff or sausages and cheese, but wouldn’t it be better to give something that’s at least semi-homemade? These Personalized Buffalo Check Mini Christmas Stocking Gift Card Holders fit the bill perfectly! These stockings only take minutes to make yet they look like you took a lot of time to customize a gift with their name. They’ll never know…

Steps
1: Open a new project in Cricut Design Space and create text boxes for the names you’ll be using. Resize them to fit onto to the top of the mini stockings. Mine are two inches wide.
2: Change the fonts to ones you like and that will be readable in a smaller size. I used Cricut’s Belwe Std Med font.
3: Cut out small pieces of the HTV, about 3′ x 2″ and place them on the light grip mats (SHINY SIDE DOWN), positioned exactly where you placed the names on the Make It Screen.
4: Set the Cricut Dial to Custom and select Everyday Iron on Vinyl from the on-screen menu (be sure to set it to cut MIRROR IMAGE) and cut out the names.
5: Weed out the negative space from around the names.
6: Set your Cricut EasyPress to the recommended settings for the materials. You can use Cricut’s Interactive Heat Settings Guide to decide your settings. I chose Polyester and Everyday Iron-on.
7: Place the HTV names sticky side down onto the stocking and follow the guide’s instructions.
8: Gently peel off the plastic sheet.
That’s it! How simple was that? You could easily whip up a bunch of these in one sitting using the assembly line method. Personalized Buffalo Check Mini Christmas Stocking Gift Card Holders would work great for teacher gifts as well as co-worker or secret Santa gifts (or for best friends.) Plain and simple, people just love to see items personalized with their names and who doesn’t love a gift card these days? I know I certainly do! There’s also enough space left to add a couple of pieces of their favorite candy or other small items. And of course, there’s plenty of room to stuff them with cash! What would you want in yours?
I just made a Christmas t-shirt using my Cricut and HTV that would also make a fun gift. And if you just love getting loads of inspiration for DIY Christmas gifts you can make yourself, you have to see all of the amazing projects over at All Free Christmas Crafts!
