I made these Minnie Mouse Party Invitations last year for my sister-in-law’s Minnie Mouse themed baby shower. I couldn’t find any invites cute enough at the stores, so I went to my local craft store and bought what I needed to make my own.
For the cards themselves, I bought blank white cardstock pre-creased cards with envelopes. I bought mine at Michael’s – 50 per pack.

Minnie Mouse Party Invitations Steps
1: Using Microsoft Publisher, I typed up the inside and outside of the card. I used the “booklet” setting. (I love Publisher, by the way! It’s great for creating cards, certificates, name tags, invitations, etc… and it’s user-friendly.)

2: Ears – Cut out 2 black circles 1 1/2 inches in diameter. *

*Since I am not a great circle cutter, I bought a circle cutter. Check out our Martha Stewart Circle Cutter Review to see all the pros and cons to using it.

3: Head – Cut a black circle 2 1/4 inches in diameter.

4: Minnie Mouse Assembly – Using your choice of glue, put a little glue on the tip of each ear and place head piece on top. From the top of the ears to the bottom of the head should total 3 inches. The space between the ears should be almost 1 inch.
5: Flip over Minnie’s head and add glue to the center and stick to the front of the white card.

6: Bow – Cut one piece of ribbon 4 inches long and a second piece 1 1/4-inch long.

7: With the longer piece, take both ends and meet in the center and glue. The length of the ribbon will now be 2 inches.

8: Wrap smaller ribbon around the middle of the looped ribbon and glue.
9: Glue ribbon to Minnie’s head in between the two ears.

That’s it. These Minnie Mouse Party Invitations were pretty simple, minus the circle cutter. This whole project would have been super simple with a Cricut machine!
