When I think about classic monster movies, I think of the popular ones like Dracula, Frankenstein, and the Mummy. But if you ask me who my favorite movie monster is, I’d definitely say Godzilla. I’ve been watching those movies since I was a kid, and if I’m being honest, I still watch them. We even have Godzilla movie marathons in our house! So for this month’s Movie Monday Challenge featuring classic monster movies, I absolutely had to make this Happy Godzilla T-shirt for my son. Boy, was he thrilled! I like it so much I’m making one for myself, too.

5: Put the green HTV (shiny side down) onto the Light Grip Mat and cut out the file on your Cricut machine. Make sure to set it to Mirror Image and set the dial to Custom>Regular HTV.

6: Weed the negative space from the HTV. You should be able to peel it off in one piece, except for the letter centers.

7: Preheat the Cricut Easy Press to 315° F. Follow the instructions on this chart to iron on the HTV. You can also use Cricut’s interactive heat settings guide to help you if you’re not using a regular cotton t-shirt.

That’s it! I feel like the more t-shirts I make with my Explore Air 2 and EasyPress, the easier they are to make. You can make your own Happy Godzilla T-shirt, too! If you’ve been hesitant to try making t-shirts or your Cricut is still in the box, just go for it. Don’t expect everything to be perfect because we’ve all had our oops moments, like forgetting to set it to mirror image, or putting the HTV on the mat upside down, missing bits when weeding–I could go on and on. You can do this!

On the last (or fourth) Monday of each month, a group of bloggers participate in a #MovieMondayChallenge, hosted by C’mon Get Crafty! We decide on a topic, genre, or specific movie to use for inspiration and everyone gets free reign to create something wonderful!

This month’s challenge was. . . . MONSTER MOVIES! Everyone was allowed to choose their own favorite film so long as it was inspired by the challenge word.

Now let’s see what everyone else was inspired to create for this month’s #moviemondaychallenge! If You’re a  blogger and you’d like to join our Facebook Group, you can request an invite HERE.
